No, multiple applications aren’t possible. In case of a rejection, you have the chance to apply for another offer.

FCFS stands for “First Come First Serve” and, as the name suggests, the first interested applicant gets the offer.

That’s why you don’t have much time to wait. If you want to apply for an offer, you have to register on the Exchange Platform www.iaeste.net and upload all necessary documents.

After that, please write us an email and we try to assign you to the offer as soon as possible.

COBE stands for “Continuous Online Based Exchange” and specifies offers that aren’t restricted to a country. It means that each of the 80 IAESTE member countries can  put up a candidate for that offer.

Similar to FCFS offers you should act fast, register on the Exchange Platform www.iaeste.net, upload all necessary documents and notify  us via email.

AC (Annual Conference) offer are assigned  during the annual application phase.

It consists of several phases:

1. Starting from October until December, we try to reach students and call attention to our organization and our service, so that interested students register on the Exchange Platform.
2. Based on the number of registrations that each of the German committees reached during phase 1 , each committee will get a certain amount of offers.
3. At the Annual Conference, the National Committees of all IAESTE countries meet to exchange internship positions. The German Committee usually receives about 1000 offers for the German students.
4. In advance of the Exchange Conference in Germany in February, you will be able to see the list and get to choose your preferences. During that event each of the German local committees can choose their certain amount of internships and we try to decide based on our priority list.
5. We usually receive about 40 internship positions for which you can apply.  Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that we get to receive your favorite offer but we try our best.
6. If you are assigned to an offer and apply for it, you’re now the only applicant on that position worldwide.
7. That’s why we have to take a deposit to be sure that you actually take this exclusive opportunity and do the internship.

Ein AC (Annual Conference) Offer sind die Art von Praktikumsangebot, die in der jährlichen Bewerbungsphase vergeben werden.

Der Bewerbungsprozess für ein AC Offer durchläuft mehrere Phasen:

1. Zunächst sammeln wir als Komitee ab Oktober eines jeden Jahres Interessent*innen, die sich auf der Exchange Platform anmelden. Das tun wir bis ca. Dezember.
2.  Abhängig von der Anzahl der Anmeldungen, die jedes Komitee in Deutschland in dieser Zeit erzielen konnte, bekommt jedes Komitee eine Zahl an Praktikumsstellen zugesprochen, die sie verteilen kann. Wenn IAESTE Berlin also 50 Anmeldungen, aber IAESTE Hamburg nur 20 hat, würden wir mehr Praktikumsstellen zugesprochen bekommen.
3. Die Praktikumsstellen, um die es geht, werden auf der namensgebenden Annual Conference ausgewählt. Das ist eine große Konferenz, zu der die Repräsentanten von jedem IAESTE Land anreisen. Dort werden die Praktikumsstellen zwischen den Ländern getauscht. IAESTE Deutschland bringt dabei meistens ca. 1000 Stellen mit.  Ausgehend von den Profilen der Studierenden, die sich auf der Exchange Platform angemeldet haben, werden auch die Fachbereiche der Stellen ausgewählt.
4. Im Februar findet die Tauschkonferenz in Deutschland statt. Dort reisen alle deutschen IAESTE Lokalkomitees an und wählen aus der 1000er Praktikumsliste die zuvor festgelegte Anzahl an Praktikumsstellen aus. Im Voraus bekommen alle angemeldeten Interessent*innen Zugriff auf die Stellenliste. Bei der Auswahl der Stellen für Berlin richten wir uns dann ausschließlich nach euren Präferenzen.
5. Diese Stellen (bei uns meistens ca. 40) bringen wir euch mit und ihr könnt euch auf sie bewerben. Wir können euch an diesem Punkt nicht garantieren, dass eure Lieblingsstelle dabei ist, aber wir geben uns alle Mühe.
6. Die Besonderheit hier ist, dass sofern ihr eine dieser Stellen ergattern könnt, ihr der einzige Bewerber weltweit auf diese Stelle seid. 
7. Aus diesem Grund wird auch eine Kaution fällig, mit der wir sicherstellen, dass ihr dieses exklusive Praktikum auch antretet.
